Karben infrastructure and the expansion of the S-Bahn line S6

The city of Karben is constantly evolving. Various transport infrastructure projects are on the city’s agenda. Many roadways and footpaths have already been redesigned and made barrier-free. The comprehensive expansion of the S-Bahn line S6 from two to four tracks also includes a series of measures to increase the efficiency of rail transport. These include the renewal and modernization of the track systems to ensure smooth routing. The various train journeys will be separated so that the suburban trains can run independently of the regional, long-distance and freight services. The stations along the line will also be extensively renovated. The entrances are to be made barrier-free and the waiting areas will be optimized for additional comfort. The investment in the expansion of the S6 line demonstrates the city’s commitment to modern and sustainable local transport for Karben and the neighboring towns. The remaining construction work between Bockenheim and Bad Vilbel will take place in March 2024.
