Bad Vilbel Fortress theatre festival
The idea of opening an open-air theatre in the ruins of Bad Vilbel's moated castle was developed
back in 1986. Close to the We rooms Hotel Karben, you can experience performing arts in a very
special atmosphere.
Classics as well as new and modern plays are performed, with William Shakespeare's stage works as a
recurring highlight.
With ten productions per season, the Burgfestspiele now shines as a cultural gem in the beautiful
Wetterau region.
An overnight stay at the We rooms Hotel is the ideal setting for theatre lovers. The festival can be
reached by taxi in 15 minutes, by public transport (and a short walk) in 30 minutes.
